HEY GMC!
In this new lesson i've put together a beginners guide to Travis Picking. The piece will introduce you to each element of the pattern 4 bars at a time, it contains some very easy shapes so you can focus fully on the picking method.
Travis Picking gets its name from the country guitarist Mearl Travis who developed the syncopated driving thumb patterns that have become a main stay for finger picking to this day.
Once you get the picking down make sure you check out my other picking lessons 'Back to the Delta' and 'Big Bill Bluesy'
Have fun!
