Hi GMC!, This is another tapping lesson and it's based on an A major progression. It’s a two notes per string and string skipping Lick.
As you can see, I've used my right hand's thumb finger to tap some of the notes.
You can use the same finger or use another one if you find it uncomfortably.
I prefer to do it because I think it adds an interesting percussive effect.
This is the progression:
A D/A A Asus2 A
F#m E/B B E D/A A
D D#dim7 A/E E
A/E E7 A
Let’s take a look to the first six notes
1st note: A (6th string 5th fret Left hand index finger)
2nd note: E (6th string 12th fret right hand thumb finger) then we have a pull off with our thumb to play A , then we have to skip to the 3rd string
4th note: A (4th string 7th fret Left hand ring finger)
5th note: C# (4th string 11th fret right hand index finger) there we have a pull off with our index to play A .
The lesson continues in the same way, my advice is: learn the first bar , practice it for a while till you get the groove with both hands, then it’s time to move to the second bar and so on.
