  • Welcome to the Papa Roach Style lesson !

Lesson inspired by Papa Roach, one of famous rock bands from the milenium period. Back then the idea of guitar tracks was to keep the simplicity and deliver maximum impact for the song. It's a great material to work out your powerchord strumming and palm muting. Repeatable parts make your head free from constant focus, and let you bring all attention to articulation and timing. Even if it seems to be simple, the true challenge is to be perfect timing-wise and dynamics-wise. Remember to keep everything sound even by adjusting eqal strumming strength. Remember that precise and clean breaks/pauses are same important as any other note in the track.

Same as in Papa Roach songs, guitar are double-tracked. Exactly the same part has been recorded twice and panned 100% left and 100% right. Doubletrackign is necessary to get this particular kind of guitar energy in the recording. It's also great way to verify how precise you are.
