    "Paul Brandon Gilbert (born November 6, 1966 in Illinois, U.S.) is an American musician, best known as the guitarist for Racer X and Mr. Big, as well as many solo albums and numerous collaborations and guest appearances with other musicians." - Wikipedia

    Paul is notorious for his brilliant alternate picking technique and his wide vibrato, not to mention his cleanliness of tone and overall precision. In this lesson I have decided to open with some riffing that makes use of a repeating pedal tone (on the low E string) and some 2 note power chords. This brings to mind tracks such 'Street Lethal' from Racer X or 'Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy' from Mr. Big.

    Then we get into the more technically demanding side of Paul's playing.
    Lots of alternate picking, string skipping and vibrato and tapping.
