  • Hi GMC!! Today we´ll have a lesson inspired on the great Steve Morse!
This guitar player is amazing! The way he uses chromatic phrases, the swing and the arpeggios is awesome!
This lesson is inspired on the Deep Purple side of Steve. It starts in the pentatonic minor of D, you must pay attention to the swing in this licks. The fast part is the chromatic lick; you should practice it slowly.

Then come the arpeggio part. The chords are:
    Bb - Am - Dm - C - Bb - F - C - %
    Bb - Am - Dm - C - Bb - F - C - % - A7 - %
This part’s got a melodic line in the higher notes. These notes must sound more strong and clean that the others.
And if you like Deep Purple, I have a tribute band too. It’s called Perpendicular, you can listen us here: .

    Have fun!!!
