It is a musical form characteristic of Spanish folklore, which had a flamenco influence in the process of acclimating to a specific area, which corresponds to the province of Huelva. Although there are other forms of fandangos in different regions of Andalucia, Huelva have special characteristics that differentiate them from the rest.
This is essentially a partner dance with twists own courtship dances, which has gained over time characteristics of flamenco. As dance is a very old style of popular character.
Fandango is bimodal, it starts with the Andalusia scale and later in the song, it modulates to the major scale to conclude again in Andalusia.
In this lessons we will also talk about "Falseta". A Falseta is part of a Flamenco song, much as a sentence is part of a paragraph. The artists improvise their own falsetas which are then put together to form the whole song. Most Flamenco forms have strongly defined rhythmic patterns. A falseta is roughly comparable to an improvised lick in jazz or blues music.
