  • HI GMC'ers! This lesson is about FUNK. And in order to get into that world I gather some elements about that genre of music.
    First we're going to work on some Slap and Pop technique applied to the guitar. Then we have some funk rhythm guitar and to spice a little bit this lesson I have a little solo at the end and before that there is a little swelling volume trick with chords.

    If you want to check some funk players there's a clinic about Stevie Salas; Scott Mishoe is another player to check and Jean Marc Belkadi has a book too about this techniques.

    The techniques used in this lesson are:

    * Legato
    * Slapping
    * Popping
    * Strumming
    * Volume swelling

    I hope you enjoy the lesson! :)
