  • Hi all!
This time I decided to make another lesson in the style of the one and only, great Gary Moore. I got a brilliant “Gary Moore live at Montreux” dvd for my birthday which inspired me to prepare this lesson.

The lesson consists of two parts:
-slow 6/8 minor blues and heavier 4/4 major blues part
To create a maximum Moorish mood I added string and brass sections.
Guitar line is pretty simple except bending but because of these extreme bends this can be quite tricky.
Bending techniques I used in this lesson: semi tone, whole tone, whole tone and semi, 2 whole tones, 2 whole tones and semi.
Note, that some of the bends are a little dirty, which makes it more wild :)

I used mostly A minor scale and blues scale.

    We are going to use:

    - bending,

    - vibrato,

    - Gary Moore style licks

This is the preset I used for the POD XT live for this lesson:

    Amp: MS 2002 Bomber Uber, Drive 4 - Bass 6 - Middle 7 - Treble 5 - Presence 3

    Cab: 4x12 2001 Line 6

Rev: Medium Hall - Mix 35%

Stomp: Vetta Juice ( II part only )

The lesson is available in the guitar pro 5 file, backing tracks included.

    Have fun practicing!
