Beautiful Lian - In Flames is probably my favorite death metal band! What's that thing you scream in the middle - something "In Flames"? Well done!
Very powerful. Great job
Cool lesson Lian!
Lian, this is awesome! Great sound. What axe are you playing there?
Awesome ! I'm not a great fan of In Flames growling, but I sure like their riffs/melodies ! You rock, Lian
This lesson is in a league of its' own because of the fact that you nailed their style like you were playing in the band yourself. I don't believe i have ever seen something this nailed.
Wow! This rocks hard man! Great lesson
Great sounding Lian
I particularly like the end of this lesson
Very very InFlamish, with awesome parts in in:)
Great lesson Lian! Sound very much like todays In Flames. Maybe you could make a lesson in the "old" style some time? =) I much preferred the In Flames before Clayman. Too much pop-influence imo these days. They can still riff but their singer has lost ruined his voice many years ago =(
nice take man! i prefer older albums from In flames, my favourite song is "December flower", it would be fine to see some lesson in that old style, like album "The Jester Race" but good job anyway:)
Awesome lesson Lian!
Oh my GOD! stupid school work has me missing this! That scream scared the hell out of me! This awesome Lian really, your best work IMO
Awesome stuff Lian!! You really captured their sound!!!
Great riffing! Awesome lesson!
thanks a lot man!
Very cool man, great tight riffs!
MAN! I love this! In Flames Is probably one of my Favorite Melodic Death metal bands, and finally.. somewhere i dont find "Anders fridinen is a a (insert badly placed racial / homophobic slurr)" or "They used to be good... But now they ****" You really nailed their style =)
hahaha!!! thanks a lot man
Great riffing as always, Lian!
great lesson covering a great band, well done Lian
Awesome lesson, thanks a lot
Hi there! welcome to a new lesson. this time we´ll focus on this amazing band called IN FLAMES.
In flames is a band who has changed a lot its style through the years.
this lesson is mostly based on "take this life" from the album Come Clarity.
it´s composed in the key of B minor and I use a lot of the In Flames´trademarks.
The goal here is to get a violent take with a melodic feeling. that´s all we need. so, pay attention on your right hand (palm muting) and practice it in a slow tempo if you need it.
Hope you like this lesson! Have fun!
stay close! -
Used scales: B minor –
Meter: 4/4 –
Guitar Tune: Down 1/2 step
TEMPO: 210 Bpm.
As some of you know, I use a POD xt to rec all my lessons. you´ll find my presets on my board ;)
If you have any problems let me know.
Take care and see you all around.
