  • Hello GMC! Welcome to my Rock Solo lesson. This lesson was inspired by the band called Saxons, which has made a Riff King competition recently ( I was jamming over their backing track and came up with this solo. Chord progression looks like this C G G sharp F. This backing track is pretty cool for jamming over it (typical 80's rock/metal). I tried to make a balance between faster and slower parts. This lesson should improve your vibrato, legato with alternate picking, bends. Some lesson's info:

    BPM: 120
    Time signature: 4/4
Scales used: C minor scale, C minor and blues pentatonic
I provided some backing tracks + jam loop.

    POD XT Live preset:
    Amp: 1993 Solo 100 Head, Cabinet: 4x12 2001 Line6
    Drive 85%, Bass 60%, Middle 60%, Treble 75%, Presence 40%
    Stomp: Screamer - Drive 52%, Gain 80%, Tone 90%
Analog delay 750 ms, Reverb on

    Hope you'll have fun

    Take care,
