One thing I love about your lessons is that it is usually a 2 in 1 type of lesson - that is, the solo and the rhythm sections are both challenging and interesting to learn separately. This lesson seems to be just that!

D Dorian equals c major...? Its the second in the C major?

Hi guys and welcome to another Rock Solo lesson :)
In this lesson I've tried to take a very simple melody and turned it into a relatively easy and effective solo.
I've also tried to include most of the common techniques you will encounter in most rock/metal solos, which in this case would be hammerons, pulloffs, alternate picking, sliding, bending and some very basic string-skipping.
Hope you like it :)
Tempo: 140 BPM
Scale: D Ionian (Major)
What I used to make this lesson:
Guitar: Jackson SLSMG
Amp: Marshall JMP-1
Soundcard: E-Mu Tracker Pre
Bass: Trilogy (through Ampeg)
Drums: Toontrack Superior 2.0
Software compressors/EQ's: Waves SSL, T-Racks
Hope you like it! :)
