  • Hello my friends!
Today we will play some rockin stuff inspired by the one and only Joe Satriani. I love this
guy for his incredible musicality, phrasing, technique and whammy bar tricks.

This little tune is set up in 2 parts:
    - riff part and solo part
In the first part you have to focus on the palm muting notes - relaxed wrist will be very
important here. The second part is pretty simple to play and with a little help from wah-
wah even beginners could play this solo.

    Key: D-minor, E-minor
Scales: D minor scale, E minor scale

    We are going to use:
    - palm muting,
    - vibrato,
    - bending,
    - harmonics,
    - whammy tricks,
    - wah wah

I used Guitar Rig 4 for riff part ( "Early Edward" preset)

This is the preset I used for the POD XT live for solo part

    Amp: MS 2003 Deity Lead Drive 8 - Bass 4 - Middle 7 - Treble 6 - Presence 5

    Cab: 4x12 1968 Green 25s

    Rev: DAW reverb

Delay: Digital Delay 169bpm (half notes)

    Stomp: Screamer

The lesson is available in the guitar pro 5 file, backing tracks included.

    Enjoy!

    Piotr
