  • Velocity is an element worth discussing if you wish to make your leads more heartfelt. The key here is to develop some simple licks using louder and softer notes in order to accentuate certain parts of your improvisation. There is no particular rule to follow here, let your heart direct the intensity of your notes.

We'll use an E minor blues pentatonic scale and modulate a whole step higher to the key of F# minor. As always, strive for a clean technique and experiment with the ideas exposed here. The goal is to develop your own personal touch and create a strong connection between what you hear and what you are playing.

    Practice hard and enjoy!
