  • Hello GMC !

In this lesson we are going to learn some essential tools for building strong bass lines. Today we are going to learn minor triads. They are very basic and essential for good bass line construction and today we are going to use them exclusively. You can use minor triads to enhance and compose your own bass lines and in jamming situations.

I composed this little tune with a latin feel to it for you to practice your minor triads. You will play some dead notes in this one too, to build up the percussive feel to the track and also some slides.

I've used minor triads over different minor chords in this one.

    Key: Dm
    Tempo: 120 bpm
    Time signature: 4/4
    Tuning: standard
    Difficulty: beginner

Equipment I've used for getting this sound was: Peavey Cirrus bass with active soapbar pickups, equal mix of both of them with added bass and treble on onboard eq - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and slightly added bass and treble there (at 1 o'clock position).

Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson feedback and in my instructor board at forum.

Enjoy and I hope you'll have a lot of fun playing this one!
