  • Finally - a slapping lesson. This is the first of many lessons in which I will show you how to master slapping.In this lesson I will use octaves to show you how to make easy, but interesting sounding lines.

    When slapping the string you should be using your thumb, and for popping you should be using your index or/and middle finger. When slapping, try to keep your thumb parallel with string&neck, make a short, firm strike against the string. Make your movement from the wrist of your hand.
    When bringing your thumb back off the string, do not move it too far from the string, try to make very short movements, so you can achieve more speed that way. If you start to feel pain in your fingers try to relax few minutes, it's not a good thing to hurt your skin, make your bass bloody and yourself unable to play few days. ;)
