Very nice - a little Holdsworth sounding to me!
Also - your new light setting has dramatically imrpoved video quality - excellent!
Very nice sounding lesson Jerry!
Yes, very Fusion sounding - Phrygian doesn't get enough use, that is a cool sounding vibe there
Ahh Phrygian is my favorite, great lesson!!
Great use of Phrygian Jerry,
haven't thought of it as a good mode for fusion
before but you cleared the image a lot, thanks!!
Cool Jerry , it reminds me of Scott Henderson and Tribal Tech. Very nice, thanks for the lesson.
Cool stuff Jerry. Thanks!
Incredible Jerry!! Excellent!
Fantastico Jerry! La backing track รจ particolarmente adatta, molto fusion
complimenti!
Very creative solo Jerry!
Excellent man!
I love this kind of phrasing, there are someexcellent licks in this one. Thanks!
Nice and melodic
Excellent Jerry
Cool solo man!
Thank you guys!
Andrew: you are right. It's the reason for this lesson.
Freebird: Grazie!
Really original lesson, learning it right now.
Why is there like a booming sound when you hit the first note in phrase, particularly video 5 and 6? =
So if I understand correctly you just play a G# scale under C chords?
So yea one more thing, I'm practicing phrasing a lot lately so I've been studying solos and stuff. I notice in video one, the note you vibrato is G#, which is not even in the Cm7 chord, why does it fit?
Nice phrasing. Excelent
Yes love those licks Jerry really nice.
I really love the way this sounds Jerry! And Gerardo is right - your phrasing is excellent.
I also really love the fact you supplied a link to the Pandora settings
shellshock1911: I think you're talking about the raking. I use this technique sometimes with the high strings because I like very much the sound.
Yes, the video 1 ends with a Ab note, but if you see the complete tab or the GP file you can notice that the backing track changes to the DbM7 chord immediately. So you can consider this Ab note as a note over the DbM7 chord, just a little anticipated.
maxwelldewitte: A kind of... Phrygian Mode is the 3rd of the major scale. So C phrygian has the same notes of the Ab major scale, starting from C.
