All the practicing with scales really paid off on this. My pull offs are really weak and my hammers are slow but I do hit the note. I don't really know what to ask about improving the pull-offs. ? Especially at the 8th lesson where there's two pulls in a row. I get nothing.

legato technique can take a lot of effort to develop. Basically you can start studying some trills.
Marcus Lavandell did a great lesson about this topic, check his Trill Guitar Lesson.
Don't worry about speed, of course. Also, it's very important to warm up your hands and avoid any pain while you're studying.
I suggest you to check some lessons about legato on GMC.
