Beautiful song !
hello pavel!!!!!!
nice job!!!!!!!!
thanks
Nice stuff
Just wanna add..... it`s hardcore to play on a Martin.... Well just been playing for 1 year now so thats okey, but 2 hours a day can only get U so far.
Hehe cool! I hope to work on more clean/acoustic stuff in the future
New stuff to me and my Martin - Yes sir
@Mav: sorry for really late response, i missed your question before...
There are loads of down picks there and watch the slowed down videos, it's easier to see the direction there.
It's D-Major by chord progression. Our theory masters on the forum would sure point me to a certain mode i am using but i never think in theory so i play by ear. Sometimes you will notice that something not from a regular scale will sound much better than a straight scale playing.
@Jenkinson: ok man, i am lacking ideas for lessons so i think i'll do something "clean" next
Pavel I stumbled upon this for probably the 50th time and, again it blew me away. Please more clean acoustic material.. I bought a Martin and want to put it to good use.
Hi Pavel,
Great sounding lesson. Nice to have some chord based stuff. Couple of questions for you on this.
1. Are you mainly downpicking on these. If not when are you using down and when using up etc. I cant really see what is happening with your right hand on the video.
2. You say that the video 2 is in the key of D major but im confused. D major should be E, F#, G, A which on the G string would 9, 11, 12 and 14. Did you just add the G# for colour?
Im trying to build up my theory so i fully understand the keys behind the tracks and the patterns being rather than just blindly learning the tab shown hence the question.
I especially like this ones too, they help me in accuracy when changing chords, and long stretches, low on the fret board
So incredibly tasteful, I love it , keep up the awesome lessons Pavel.
Hey thanks! I am glad you like these clean tunes! But it's easy to just surrender - you have to practice and one day you'll say that shred is your strength!! I'll think of some more clean lessons!
i love these clean lessons. I love the new shapes and stuff. But I hate speed lessons because speed is not my strength. Im good at learning new shapes so keep the clean ones comin
Awesome lesson..Wish you had more like these!
awsome lesson thanks.
WOW! this is awsome i am a starter and i just learned that and it helped me a lot thanx!!!
Great Technique, it is definitely a good to check every lesson series out on this site.
I really like these lessons here
It's just the G note i fret!
Pavel in Lick 4 is your index barreing the wholte 3rd fret top to bottom or just the G note?
Bit hard to tell on the video
Nice sound, fun to play even on a classical
awesom lesson,
Great lesson!!!
This is one of my favourites.
i like the sound!
this is awesome dude
COOL!
I love the shred and the speed riffs... BUT, this is certainly a refreshing change of pace!!! Besides, the clean sound often compliments the shred....
MORE PLEASE!!!!
Well if you see that there is a slide or hammer-on missing - it's no big deal. The notes are still the same - and you can play all those legato stuff whatever way you like it so it is not a mistake!

Maaaaaaan the font is screwed so look at it like this:
fret 5 - finger1, fret 7 - finger 2... and keep reading from the tab above until you get it down.
Here is the tab, and the numbers above illustrate the finger of your left hand:
1 2 3 4 3 2 4 3 4 4 4 4 4
---------------------------------

---------9----6--------7p-6------
-------7----7----7---7------9s-7-

I think this is how i play it!
Eh, Im confused on fingering in lick 5. Maybe you could capture your fret board so we could see your fingering more easily? That would be great
Lovin the lesson - sounds great.
Its alright now but I still find sliding with my pinky kinda hard. Need more practise I suppose
I believe you have problems with your LEFT hand wrist - don't play it by strenght. If you feel tired and tensed - put the lick away and relax. Practice it in small sessions.
Ah man, lick 4 is killing my wrist
Nice as always, Pavel! Keep up the good work!
Great Stuff, keep up the cool lessons
Really nice! I'm weak in this style of playing, so this should really help me out.
sweet lessons.gives me a good idea for a song .
awesome, i realy like the acoustic sound
wow man these lessons do rock!
Keep 'em Coming!
These lessons are really helpful.
Awesome! These really help my rythem playing.
