On the first part of this lesson the last note ( 9 on the G string) should be 9 on the D string right?
Yeah - the GP tab is correct - it's strange that it's wrong on txt tab - i just exported it from GP so it's the GP fault.
Awesome solo Pavel! I will definitely learn, and incorporate this technique in my playing. Thanks!
Hey sounds really good, i believe this will help me tremendously!!
nice one pavel
Hey great solo, i love the tapping stuff, ive been trying to use as many fingers as i can so this really helps that.
Kick ass solo!
Great lesson! i m gonna learn this right now!
Hey pavel, when creating that artificial harmonic (00:07), do you focus on what tone to reach, do you just aim for a harmonic?
Also, very nice solo. I love that reverb.
You aim for both harmonic and the correct bend to make.
that I know, but you can get different harmonics depending on where you hit the string with your thumb. I was wondering if you just want to create one, or you want to create one specific.
I aim for the certain one. There is no point in playing harmonic just like that. It has to sound together with the melody and the correct note. This one is an octave one i think.
This is so cool! This is in my range, so ill get started on it soon!
obviosly this is my favorite lesson from you Pavel
nice one ! Thanks!
Great lesson, i like the tapping where you need two fingers on right hand. I play your lessons on this site mostly, you defn one of best instructors i ever seen.
for me perhaps mention of particulat scales you use would be nice, since those kinds of things we begginers try to learn and apply. ( you know those pics at bottom your other lessons have).
awesome lesson ! thnx
It's all in major scale (E major i think) - so if you know how a major scale sounds like - you don't need anything else!
Yes Andrew you noticed that right. I don't bother with theory at all - makes it easier to dedicate yourself to a music, tune or solo... and yes passing notes are present in all of my lessons as i find them very cool sounding!
i think the tab is wrong cause it sounds a lot better if take the last note(9) on the d string but whatever great job pavel:)
It's strange because we already fixed that and it WAS fixed but now it has that wrong note in the video number 1 again. Anyway - the main tab is correct and the GP5 tab is also correct!
you read slow solo, you go in and realize, yeah the bpm is slow... but did i mention there are 32 notes in there?
in vid 2, it should end on the d string 9 not the g string 9
Yes - we know! Read a couple of post higher, a couple of people already said that, we fixed it, but that it got back to this i dunno why! I can't fix it on my own! The data is on server and i can't access it!
great lesson pavel=) I've already learned most of it but the ending on page 8 I can't grasp quite yet, well not up to speed but im loving this, I just cant get enough of it=P hope there is more like this to come.
btw you should make more lessons with squeelz i lvoe them, hehe
happy playing
-jeffrey
what is happening to my playin? in a course of a month my alternate picking is practically perfect. and i just started actually trying to play stuff today and i just got real good at it
its the GMC effect
on vid 8 it looks like you added the third tap part twice and excluded the first tap part... well whatever you have a vid for it so its fine ig guess
sry bout the double post but i meant to say it was the tab that was wrong
EDIT: I'll send that part of tabs to Kris so he can put it in. It's strange the tabs are wrong - really don't know how it happened. Fortunately it's just the Video number 8 that's wrong.
Tabs are fixed now!
Yet another great sound Pavel, I too, definitely like your mood and tone. So does this make a blues man?
I wouldn't say it's blues. To be honest i don't know which style it is It's music and i enjoy it!
Let other GMC style experts decide what it is
I agree! This is one of my favorite lessons from you, Pavel. You're a true asset to GMC.
i love doing this! my amp doesnt go loud enuf for you to hear the tapping at the end! but sometimes u can and its awesome.. great lesson very fun to play
Loudness of tapping doesn't depend on the amp but your fingers and strength of fingers! it will get louder with time!
hehe, I like those tappings !! I'm a tapping fanatic so I enjoy your lesson a lot, there are good ideas using 2 fingers taping into a pretty lyric context.
See U
in first vid there is an error in the last note is on the 4th string not on the 3rd
cool solo
damn i didn't read the first comment :S sorry
nicely done Pavel! i like the tapping parts. great solo. i realy hope there is more like that comin.
excellent lesson Pavel!!!
nice tapping pavel
Awesome solo and lesson ! I believe Dexxter mastered this one !
