Excellent Ivan - I get some Eric Johnson vibes from this!

Good job Ivan. I know plenty of new members who will benifit from this kind of lesson
Hey!! Excellent job Ivan!!
Great lesson Ivan.
Great lesson, I was missing some sliding in my pentatonis....
Thanx!!
Awesome lesson! I was stuck in the pentatonic box as well...finally free!
Wow this is awesome, i love your technique!
very nice
This lesson rules, some awesome Marty Friedman licks in there too.
Hey thank you all. I didn`t expect such a nice feedback. Thank you and have fun with this one. It is fairly easy-to-incorporate in yur own style lesson, and easy to play also.
My first intention is to help the beginners with connecting positions, but runs can be cool for people who does know how to shift-slide, but can give them some new patterns and directions. Hope this help
nice sliding ivan
Just cool - sounds great and great technique to learn!
Yeah, good lesson Ivan
Useful lesson Ivan!
Yeah great job Ivan , this is very usefull stuff !!
THanks guys. More of this comming right up if needed..
what type of guitar is that
Ivan -
Having great fun learning how to run down this scale. Going back up however, I just can't wrap my mind or fingers around it. Is there a way to slow down the video even more?
@Nick325
THis is a Peavey Generation EXp with ACM. You can find a review on Gear Reviews board. Cheers
@spezzy
I am glad you are having fun with this lesson! I would have to record all over again in slow motion and i`m afraid that is not possible. BUT you can easily see what i play if you download the GuitarPro file. In it you can see all the notes clearly how tehy are played. GP file is downloadable from an icon to the right from the video window in the browser. Also there is a complete tab there with all the notes.
Let me know if you have any troubles with this further man, and keep on rockin`
Cool slides Ivan,well done!!
Thanks man! I`m glad you like it!
Ivan -
Ok. I see now that GP is the way to go. Can slow it down or speed it up as fast as I need to. Thanks for the quick response.
Both me and my son (I'm 45, he is 16) are having a blast with all the lessons on GMC and yours is the first that I'm actually trying to "master".
Seriously..the GMC web site has provided a chance for me to bond with my son..we both check out the lick of the day, jam together with the backing tracks..totally cool.

Thats tottaly awesome man, I am glad you like my lesson and the GMC site. It really rocks here and we are one big family. Say hello to your son, and if you have anything to ask or having trouble of any kind with guitar playing I (and the others I`m sure) will be glad to help. Keep on rockin`!!
Ivan,
Love the lesson! I'm struggling a bit with the parts that require the middle finger to play the same fret as the ring finger, but one string up. I've never used this technique in my improvs for some reason, but would like to incorporate it. Any tips on playing more cleanly with that kind of fingering?
Kizaze
Well, thats the best part of this slides I guess (the middle finger going down and them climbin up). Just practise it slowly and correctly - thats the whole secret. Don`t go fast if you can`t play it correctly. Trust me it will come in time. Me too had problems with those fingering, but with consistens practise no more. If you first encountered with this kind of fingering, i guess you must practise it for another month or two to really become comfortable with it. Hope this helps man. Keep rockin!
PS i saw now your last sentence... if you wanna play clean, you must mute all the strings that are not played at that time. For example when you go to another note, the previous note must be muted in the exact moment when you hit the next etc. Through slow practise you achieve this.
That's always the answer, isn't it? Practice! I will, and thanks for those cool riffs!
You are welcome man.
Thanks Ivan, Im definitely going to learn this one!

Finally got this one down. Going to try your "Funky Riff" next.

Thats great man, try the funky riff, you will learn some new moves for sure. My other funk lesson is soon to be live too
Another great lesson Ivan. This give me an alternative to my assending / decending pentatonic scales in thirds.
Got the first run down now at a slower speed now for the 2nd. I'm quite suprised how reasonably quickly I've picked it up. It looked tough at first!
Thanks Ivan, this lessons great! Exactly what I was looking for.
No problem man, I'm glad you like it
hello ivan!!!!!!!!
excellent lesson!!!!!!
beutifull job!!!!!
thanks
That's extremely helpful. We didn't have legato lessons for the pentatonic scale yet.
I'm glad you find it useful man, if you have any question regarding legato slide, feel free to ask mate. CHeers
Anyone have an idea why some lesson video's are not filling my Lesson Step Window? this is very difficult to see and going to full screen there are not enough pixels to make it legible. Someone have any ideas or feedback help for me? It seems to not be consistent and effects all the teachers I am using... THANKS FOR HELP Oh also I cannot move the Quality of my downloads from Medium to High the button does not slide....?????
In the time this lesson was made, HD was something new (similar like 3D is now), and server bandwidth, ISP internet speed and lesson production equipment used wasn't HD ready. This was the biggest resolution possible. Unfortunately there is no bigger resolution for this lesson, because of this.
