Like Always Pavel, great lesson, like the Pentatonic feel goin on in the lesson, gives a cool vibe off.
Nice job!!! Keep it up man!!!
Great lesson, I really like it.
Very nice pavel
I found this site and your series of Rock, Rhythm n Solo and said to myself that is what I want to sound like when I play the guitar.
Pavel you are an amazing guitarist and I plan on learning every single one of these lessons. Keep up the amazing work and I hope you start doing some professional recording in the near future. Let us know if you do I want to hear it. I'm sure a lot of the GMC subscribers do too.
Kris don't let this guy stop teaching.
Thanks a lot man! More of that serie will be there!
I am currently working on my first shred composition - it's almost complete! It will be a combination of Rusty Cooley Style and Luca Turilli (shred+orchestral arrangements) - it has some serious stuff in and it will be recorded at the end of the month! I'll share it with GMC-ers on the forum! Enjoy the Rock Lessons until than!
P.S. i noticed Gabriel and i have our own series going: he is into the blues stuff and i got the rock serie moving hehe Cool, ha?
Hey Pavel, you know where i stand, keep the rock coming, cant wait to hear some of your stuff, really looking forward to it.As always your the best Pavel.
Yeah man i know where you stand! Don't worry! More rock stuff coming soon! Keep rockin'!
Cool Lesson Pavel.
Are the bends getting 2/3 of the triplets?
Yep! We count each beat as a triplet so it's 1-2-3 per beat. The bend takes 1-2 and than comes 3 for next note!
What is a tied note and how do you play it?
nice man, make more of rock n' roll ones, their sick as hell
nice song, this song sounded hard, but its about speed and licks. i got it. peace out
hey pavel i have a question maybe you have answered this before but what kind of guitar do you have i was just wonderin it looks awsome and i wanted to price it to see if i could get one that would be nice
It's Ibanez JEM7WH, Steve Vai signature. It costs somewhere around 2300$
Thanks man just wanted to add that all your stuff is amazing i just love seeing all the new stuff you do its so cool keep sendin in more its awsome to learn the stuff
Thanks man! More stuff coming every week!
wow thats awesome i love playing that
This is amazing... :-D But whats the L mean in tab for number 5?
Also whenever i play this i dont get much sound out of my strings they sound like they're muted... would you know why?
You'll find all notes explanation here, including tied notes!
And i don't know how to help with your second problem. If you post a video on forum we'll be able to see what you are doing wrong
keep the awesome work pavel. oh yeah and i like that guitar u have. its awesome. it has a nice tone
yeah....i love your work pavel...this is great:D
Hey thanks guys! I'll work on some more lessons for this serie!!
Quickdraw, check the tone knobs on the guitar. Sometimes they accidentaly get turned with you realizing it and if the get turned almost all the way off they will make your guitar sound muted and muddy.
i just don't get it how to mute the 4th string when playing with 5th and 3d string...and i have no idea what L means...and that s...i get the s...but L?? can you explain to me Pavel, please:)
To know what L means visit Andrew's Theory Board and look for Time101 topic!! It's all there!!
When you play 5th string with the index finger and 3rd string with ring finger - you mute the 4th string by slightly touching it with INDEX finget!
So Index finger has double action here - it frets the 5th string and mutes the 4th.
aaa.....thnx Pavel i'll visit it... you're the best;)
something in my range of playing!!! awsome dude!
does the <> mean pinch harmonic or w/e its called, where you pluck the note and the string sort of rubs against your right thumb to give it that, i dunno pinch sound
what is the L
A tied note ...
@Fanman: yes! Artificial Harmonic!
in credible i just learned this in full and i must say i love it especially during lick 5 to the end of the song
hey Pabel!!!! Great lesson man!!!!
think is the frist time I've seen you play moderately slow Keep it up Great job ~! will help a lot for me thanks!
