Excellent! Yet another reason for me to get a Jem!! That's great Pavel, this is an area that doesn't get a lot of coverage, and I always wondered exactly how people like Steve Vai did that kind of stuff - Awesome, thanks!
Look here man,all Im gonna say is very KICK ASS Pavel, very KICK ASS,sometimes i think i love you..ha ha ha ha
YEAH, AWESOME!, that's why i have a JEM, OHH BABY!!!!!!..
My jaws just dropped to the floor!!!! SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!
@FaithfullyForgotten: I love you too, honey!
@Andrew: That's why i always say i need a guitar with Floyd Rose type of bridge. And i just wonder - do you really need a reason to buy a JEM?? I think the look of it is just enough!!
@all: thanks guys! I was not too optimistic about this lesson but hey - you liked it! That's the main goal!! Thanks!
Yes, you're right - I should have said another reason to persuade my wife to let me buy a Jem She'll let me in the end, she's pretty good about it, I just need to work it a little ...
Great lesson,i think it was definatly needed and i will enjoy working on it.
that's awesome!i dont have a wammy on either of my guitars right now-but the one im looking into buying does!great lesson!
great lesson but I don't have a whammy bar
Awesome lesson, i love do this kinda stuff!!
Pavel, another great lesson on guitar techniques.
You really bring it home making the guitar scream and sing!!!! Your lessons really help make a well rounded player. Thanks
my whammy bar is difficult to push down
Can you tell me how to download the Guitarpro tabs of this lesson? Thanks!
hey pavel, incredible stuff, I wanted to dowload the GP tab for this lesson. I click where it says GP but nothing happens. do you have this lesson in guitar pro?
I checked the link and it works for me! Just click it with the left mouse button - it will verify your account and let you download it!
hey pavel, I wanted to ask you if this licks, this one and metal blues are of your own, or from a famous band?
Everything on this site is my own stuff! Instructors are not allowed to make lessons of some famous band's songs!
And btw. i didn't play someone's song for a pretty long time now 'cause i enjoy much more creating my own stuff!
I am so impresed, all of this material is incredible, I am speachless.
is the JEM more sensitive with the bar than you guitar?
I Love Jackson!
is the Jackson awesome with the wammy?
If it has a Floyd Rose bridge than it's good!!
Neat stuff Pavel! Tastefully played as ever. If I did that to my guitar it wouldn't speak to me for months . That's a really nice Jem btw and well handled. David
Thanks David!!! I love that JEM!
I might buy an Ibanez, but I wonder: How is the edge pro tremolo compared to other floyd roses?
Why dont they make a whammy bar effects pedal?
IDontWantThisUsername: it's like 90% same tremolo! The difference is in cutting the ball. You have to cut it on Floyd but not on Edge Pro
There IS a whammy effect pedal, the Digitech Whammy pedal. however, it is pricey ($200 new)and not as good an a bar in terms of feel, sound quality and controlability.
omg that was soo sweet! i just learned it in full except the last lick isnt up to speed.... i got a fender and these ar real hard to push
I bought an Ibanez with ZR (Zero Resistance) tremolo today =D. But at the moment the name isn't comparable with the tremolo. It stays in tune if you even start trying to rip the strings out of the guitar(good thing of course), but there's pretty much resistance when I use the tremolo bar. Is that just in the start?
Do you think it will live up to its name when I have used it for a while?
Dunno m8! I didn't play on ZR tremolos. I can only say that Edge Pro bridges are really soft to use. No effort required at all
I'm having trouble with the natural harmonics lick. I understand the technique but I'm not getting much sound out of the 10th fret. Any ideas?
It means you're hitting it at the wrong place.
i cant believe kris didnt comment on this!
he loves this sort of stuff
oh i love pitch harmonics:D
fantastic lesson Pavel!!!
ass kicking indeed!
