FINGER YOGA!
Let’s do our usual Finger Yoga stretches. Here is a link to the video for references.
HERE IS THE CUSTOM OVERLOUD TH1 TRIODE PATCH FOR TODAY
And Quick Demo of how it sounds. (Guitars are doubled and panned left/right)
We have done a good deal of work with inversions. Let's use a very simple inversion with the same shape on two strings ascending and descending using the same shape work on Alternate Picking while we work on finger dexterity. Two Birds with one stone!
Let's
-Try it on Different Strings
-Run it up the neck
-Double Pick (try to keep alternate picking and not slip in to economic just for this workout)
THE WEAKEST LINK
Let's try this same idea but with the hands "weakest link" the third and fourth finger pair on the left hand. With one small change this may seem quite a bit harder.
Let's
-Try it on Different Strings
-Run it up the neck
-Double Pick (try to keep alternate picking and not slip in to economic just for this workout)
AND OF COURSE, THE STRETCH!
Let's work our stretch in to this as well. Being able to maintain precision, speed, picking consistency is harder when the left hand is working a bit stretch.
CRAZY ENDURANCE
Don't beat yourself up if your arm wants to explode, THIS IS VERY VERY HARD. IF YOU FEEL PAIN PLEASE STOP PLAYING :)
This is an endurance workout for your pinking, fingers, and stretch. By the time you can run this up to th 12th fret and back down, YOU ARE THERE! :)
Let's
-Run it up the neck
-Double Pick (try to keep alternate picking and not slip in to economic just for this workout)
ALTERNATE PICKING RYHM PARTS REDUX
Last week we worked on Rythm Guitar Parts using Alternate Picking and starting with an UP STROKE. Here is a similar pattern/guitar rythm. This time, let your hand tell you which parts feel better Alternate Picked, and which if any feel better using Economic Picking (two up or down strokes back to back) and whether starting with an UP or DOWN stroke works better.
CONGRATS on making it this far! YOU"VE EARNED IT!
