PREPPING TO SHRED!

There are many "Tricks to the Trade" in Shredding. It's a broader term than you might think. Much like how "Djent" became it's own Genre, Shred has evolved over time. It still has a connotation of fast/semi crazy/yet precise playing.

One (of many) ways to achieve this "sound" is to make use of repeated notes. When played at speed, notes in a scale can be repeated in certain ways and yet sound almost like new notes being played. That's what we will explore today. Let's get started.

Here is our first shape. Follow your instincts on picking here. Try to Alternate Pick and feel free to use economic where it works for you. By now, after 100 + lessons, hopefully the mechanics of picking are sinking in.
