Hey GMC,
All to often, you come across a cool video which obviously deserves countless views (most of GMC is full of them So I thought it would be a cool idea if we would share links of these cool videos Here are some of my favorites: - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rj-zD74f_q4...re=channel_page : the lick at 0:23 is simply amazing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7UQh9_V2ys...feature=related : This band (Anthem) is amazing and almost no one knows about them (be sure to check out "Domestic Booty") - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xd1jDPrWix8...re=channel_page : awesome guitar - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EE7tH-pDd8w...re=channel_page : Al Pitrelli busting out the sickness - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sk0jxy6j9vI...re=channel_page : a short and funny video I'm looking forward to yours

Hey Gmc I'm having a difficulty picking between amps
So I have narrowed down my search between these amps: - A Laney GH 50 L ( http://www.thomann.de/be/laney_gh50l.htm ) - An Engl Fireball ( http://www.thomann.de/be/engl_fireball_e62...rrentopteil.htm ) My playing style is mostly 80's Heavy Metal/hard Rock/NWOBHM (Iron Maiden, Loudness, Anthem, ...), and I'm having a tough time picking between them because I'm having doubts if the Laney's gain is "high" enough for my playing style. I'm not the type of person who uses tons of gain but I'm still having my doubts.(I'm currently using a POD 2.0 high gain model and I have the gain about 9 O' Clock) (testing out amps is out of the question because I live in the middle of nowhere and the stores nearby only carry 2000€+ amps) So GMC, could the Laney Gh 50 L handle my music or should I go for the Engl Fireball?

Hi,
I'm Mario from Belgium and have been playing guitar for 4 years. I'm not self-taught but studied and am studying under a teacher. I joined GMC looking to get better (aren't we all The music I listen to is mostly 80's metal and shred but I can enjoy some ZZ Top and some Al Di Meola (among others) too. I also wanted to express my thanks to all the teachers for having such musical lessons and interesting compositions. Seriously: all you guys rock I also have some questions: - When I start playing I usually warm up for about 5 minutes and I wanted to check how long all of you warm up? - When I play guitar it's not unusual that I play for extented periods of time (+3 hours) and I'm wondering that I should be looking out for something harmfull that may come with that? Or that I should take regular breaks? Keep on rockin' like Dokken GMC |
