Like To Introduce Myself..

Hello,

I'm Niels Martens, 19 years old now, and i live in Belgium, i became in love with music not so long ago. Before i was 15 i never listened to music because i actually didn't knew music that i like . The reason why i started playing guitar was because i wanted to do something that was cool, because a lot of people at school did it, and i tried to listen to their music even when i knew less about music. At the beginning it was all pretty good but months later i've got tired of listening to music that only was good because most of the people liked it. I always thought i've had to follow them, and i couldn't play those songs because i was not motivated enough.

One day i started going on looking for music that i really like so i started with the beginning, i tried to listen to music from the sixties like the beatles for instead. First time i very disliked it, it was totally different than the music i was used to listen before.. I don't know how but days and days later i was starting to get used to that knew different sound and i began to like it even more, from the beatles to the stones i found out a lot of other bands and musicians and they began the motivate me and motivate me a lot during my guitarplaying, i and that's why i enjoyed playing it,

Now years later i'm in a popschool with great teachers, i joined a band and music became my life,

Things i like now are studying and working hard to be a good musician,
I'm also going to start my studies next month to become a music teacher at high school.


Thanks to GMC i've got plenty of study material so i never get bored anymore!

It's a lot of work to reach my goals but i'm motivated enough to reach them,

My favourite musician at the time is Mike Oldfield, he inspires me a lot at the moment
