The "Country Fusion III" lesson squeezes traditional chicken picking ideas into a hipper backing track and strives to move beyond the pentatonic scale. The tone is similar to many of my country/chicken picking style lesson. I am using the bridge pickup on the Tele into a compressor into an overdriven amp with a good amount of spring reverb. The main difference is I have opted for a tape delay with several repeats rather than slapback delay. Hybrid picking is key tpo this lesson as in most of my lessons. As with any genre, tone is key. This style is probably most similar to blues, but some specific additions of staccato and palm muting.
