  • -Guitar Lesson:
In this example I want to show the two key components in a VI-II-V-I blues, which are:

    1- Choose the right chords,
2- Create a bass line with swing.

1- To show you well what chords are the indicated I have preferred to use triads to help you understand it easily. The voices are very important because each chord must be related to the previous chord and with which it follows.

2- The bassline makes harmony glue. Use the mixolydian, diminished, chromatic scales ... so that the harmony of 12 measures is well applied and the necessary swing provides. The harmony used of VI-II-V-I makes the blues different from the simplest I-IV-V, and gives a jazzistic color to sound.
