Hi folks! In this lesson we are going to look at a technique that is very used in music styles such as Grindcore and Death metal, bands like Cannibal Corpse are fond users of this kind of playing.

Then what is tremolo picking? Tremolo picking is when you play one note rapidly. It's basically alternate picking, but usually faster and you repeat the same note for X amount of times. This lesson is purely an exercise, so it isn't supposed to be very musical. Here's some things that this lesson will improve:

    -Stamina of your picking hand
-Coordination of fretting and picking hand
    -String skipping with tremolo picking
    -Use of Harmonic minor scale

This lesson is 180bpm and we play 16th notes the whole time, so this can really help you build strength to your picking hand. We mostly play the A harmonic minor or A natural minor scale. Remember to always try and keep the motions of your picking hand as small as possible.

    Bpm: 180
    Key: Am
    Tuning: E standard

    Hope you like it! :)
