> IS THAT YOUR MAMA?

Nope didn't think so either. We all know parents don't get this.

I can show you how to be the virtuoso your folks could only dream about, but I first need your help:

* Pm me and I will show you where to start. I am online every day and I will help you out directly!

* Join my mentoring program. I will customize your learning experience in a way you haven't experienced before. We will have regular contact so that you can remain inspired every day and eventually reach a new level.

* Join my next video chat! GMC startpage holds a video chat schedule. We always cover a lot of ground and have fun. Remember that you don't need any previous knowledge, and you can be passive in the chat.

* Jam with me - you will find active collabs here.

* Post a topic on this board, guitar related or not - doesn't matter! You will find that chatting with instructors boosts your motivation to practice.

* You haven't missed my latest video lessons, have you?

* Oh and did you know that to become a killer guitarist you just need to focus on one thing? Everything
else is secondary. Pm me and I will explain.

Hi Cosmin,
Thank for the feedback, good to know I got it right. And the bit about the palm muting makes sence tongue.gif
But unfortunatly ive got nothing new for you yet, the lessons need a bit more work. The Funk lesson is coming along nice, also another metal metrics lesson. Also the old gary moore lesson should be up soon, but its not quite right yet. Its still a bit busy round here from the xmas/new years period. hard to get any work done! dry.gif

Anyway, hope all's good on your end. I'll have something up for you soon!

Tim

Hi Cosmin,
Got something for you! I finally got a reasonable take on the Gary moore lesson. Its not quite as good as id like it be, but this is an area in my playing that is really lacking. It was real tough getting this one done! Maybe more stuff in this direction would be beneficial in the future.

Sorry for the vid quality too. Im working on a solution to this problem atm.

Hey Tim! It looks like you got a pretty firm grasp on this, although you sound a bit, but JUST A BIT uncertain on some notes - they are correct but you don't sound like you are convinced smile.gif If you get my vibe wink.gif I think that we should try more of this stuff indeed! How about one more of this one, having in mind what I said in the lines above?

Hi Cosmin
Yeah, it definetly needs another take, I'll leave it a few days and then give it another go. See if I can nail it!

HAHA, that's cool... and if no one believes my last statement about the impaling... The man just said he is waiting on a new sword. So shape up or be skinned alive, which I will go for if it's between that or circumcision. LOL...

I said that thinking of an old movie starring Rutger Hauer called Blind Fury where he uses a sword as a blind master. I saw that like a hundred years ago, but I vaguely remember the scene where he cuts down some guys then as he puts his sword away in a nice calm and cool fashion he says.... "I also do circumcision." LOL, classic.

Cos, you should adopt that line when using your sword on us poor lackies when we jack up our takes and collabs because we didn't heed the words of our sensei. LOL! biggrin.gif

Sorry Tim, I totally hijacked your thread and then somehow started making bad jokes in it... huh.gif

Tim, seriously...I'm sorry man. I keep posting in here and you are probably gonna be really upset with me, but Cosmin keeps saying all this funny stuff cracking me up so i can't stop replying.

So Cosmin, battojutsu is Japanese for circumcision? I would think you could really only practice that effectively once per sparring companion? If you have a video collab on that, I'll probably have to graciously pass.

i am just kidding naturally, so why batto and not iaido? are you focusing on close quarter combat?

smile.gif Mate they are just different names for the same thing... you can read stuff about it here -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batt%C5%8Djutsu

Anyway, in kobudo - the classic martial arts, there are no rules as in the gendai budo - the modern martial arts, such as kendo, for instance... because of this, our Sensei says that kenjutsu includes battojutsu, they can't be separated because they are part of a big ensemble - you must know how to draw the sword and put it back into its sheathe and also fight with it after drawing it smile.gif

Well then, why not coming back with a nice recording of a lesson which you like and posting it here so that we can take the discussion in a musical direction? smile.gif I'm sure Tim would like it too - why not one on bending?

All of Tim's stuff is really cool... I hate to throw mine in here and set him back. biggrin.gif

Not in the sense that mine is better, but in the sense that he has a really nice house and I'd hate to drive by and chuck a bag of garbage out in front of it... LOL... biggrin.gif

Thats an interesting way to compliment someone! smile.gif Thank you Sir
And yes, One definitely needs to be able to laugh at themselves!

Time to add a new video.
This is a lesson i worked on a long time ago but never recorded. It sounds relatively easy, but was tricky getting it just right smile.gif
The video didnt sync as well as it did in the preview. might be time for a new editing program. smile.gif

See what you think

Heh Heh, yea. I can come up with one or two on the different side of things... but was a compliment non the less. I first had put the one line, then got thinking... man I hope he don't think I meant that I'd put something better on here, so I hurried up and added to it.. smile.gif cause that wasn't where I was going with that at all. I've never had an ego to feed, so I can make fun of myself all day long worry free. wink.gif

Yea, that was really cool, I liked that with the piano alot. I've been messing with some of the slow bends like that just recently... especially after that British Metal 2 collab. That's not usually how I play... I'm not that coordinated, so I need slow bends so I can think where my hand needs to go next. Though I like that stuff and I really like technical/ classical sounding stuff, but I'm not coordinated enough to go there... so bluesy and slow bends it is. Cosmin said there's no better way to say I love you than a slow bend, I must be full of love cause slow I am. LOL. not man love of course... huh.gif

Hey Tim This is no easy lesson mate! I think you did a good job with it, but at some points it lacks the flow, if you know what I am saying and there are some licks somewhere around 0:44 - 0:45 that seem to be a bit blurry. As i said, this needs a lot of attention as the interpretation is crucial smile.gif Mark, which lesson did you decide on? biggrin.gif
