Jazz usually bores me to tears, but this is really good I know right? He really adds his own take on the Genre. Killer stuff!> Man, they have a lot of different styles going on. Jazz, Funk... did I hear Flamenco? Skolnick is one heck of a diverse guitar player. He really does take an eclectic approach which is really impressive. The way he snakes in and out of various styles in the same composition is impressive. It actually reminds me of a player named Llexi Leon, he is a illustrator/comic book guy who also does music, mostly Metalish, but draws in widely disparate influences, much of which lean classical, but some pull from eastern music, jazz, etc. http://soundcloud.com/eternaldescent/sirians-overture |
