Thanks Alex. I will post another take at a slower tempo. By twice you mean, do the whole thing again ? I do more for practice but didn't want to elongate in the recording.

Thanks, Chandra The noise is not a big deal! I can suggest to do it even slower so you have a full control over your hands! -------------------- |

So here it is! I have a very cool chord exercise for you!
It will help you to develop your timing and chord playing skills! You can start practicing this exercise very slow and than increase the tempo when you feel comfortable! Here is the track! http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/chords-mentoring Here is the tab E |--1--------------5--------5--------3L----------3----| Here is the GP file! Chords_Exercise.gpx ( 23.33K ) Number of downloads: 94 This exercise is a little tricky! Please feel free to ask me any questions! -------------------- |

Hi Alex, Here is my try. I have played over the track you gave me. http://soundcloud.com/nazraham/chord-practice-timing Very well done!!! Now can you record the same thing with a metronome only? I think tempo is 90BPM if you can do only metronome and guitar! After I will show the next trick:) -------------------- |

Here it is 90bpm seems pretty slow. This one is at 105bpm which seems aligned with the track you recorded.

Awesome!
For the new assignment we will start to get into improvisation a little bit more! Here is a very cool II - V - I backing track in E minor http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/ii-v-i-jam The chords are: Emi7 - A7 - Dmaj7 Over E mi7 chord I want you to play E dorian mode Over A7 A minor blues pentatonic Over D major 7 F# minor pentatonic When you are playing over this chord progression try to be as melodic as possible and create phrases instead just jamming! Let me know if you have any questions or need help! -------------------- |
