Basic Metal Rhythm Guitar, Lesson By Marcus Siepen |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Good job! Your timing is fine, but as Ben pointed out, make sure to hit all the notes in the chords, not only the root notes. Another thing, I would recommend taking down the gain of your sound a bit, it sounds a bit too distorted, with slightly less gain it will sound clearer and you will also have more punch and attack.
And one final note (not that it would make your playing any worse): Check out the tabs for my lesson again, the final chrodprogression is slightly different compared to what you are playing ;-) But as I said, good job! PS: I don't know if it is only for me, but video and sound are not in sync here. -------------------- Guitars: various Gibson Les Pauls / Gibson J 45
