You should maybe hold a competition for a best creative idea that will make GMC even more better or something like that. Prize could be like 6 months free subscription or something smile.gif

We could have a competition which relates to the practice agendas in some way.

Perhaps just a competition that will reward the most popular practice agenda (there are bunch of ways we could measure that!)

By the way - the wiki competition is turning out to be a great one I think! biggrin.gif

The metal riffing competition sounds like a great idea, I'd definitely be up for it. Maybe an instructor could provide a few drum tracks and we have to base the riffing around them.

THat thing where we leave clues on the site and other members have to follow it in order to finish tasks and be a winner is a good idea for the competition.

Yeah something like that. It could be fun and increase the forum participation I hope. Somebody already suggested the idea, don't exactly remember who, but the topic is somewhere around smile.gif

I've seen many people doing their take on the "Larry Carlton style backing track" from www.bluesjamtracks.com on the world of YouTube, it would be cool to hear diffrent takes and solos on that one and make to make it in to a competition or something.
Just watch these links, you'll get the hang of what i mean. smile.gif

Marco Sfoglis take: http://youtube.com/watch?v=f27P6_DB1vw&feature=related
Guthrie Govans take: http://youtube.com/watch?v=bUZK9dasP8s&feature=related

for those who don't want to pay for the backingtrack we can arrange the backingtrack ourselfs smile.gif i think i can do it.
