So, I've just got back from WOMAD 2014, my favourite Festival of the year. biggrin.gif
For the last 24 years I've worked for WOMAD in their main Merchandising Stall where I liaised with Tour Managers, Managers and Artists when they brought their own stock of CD's and T-shirts to sell.
Well, earlier on this year we found out that WOMAD were not going to run their own Merchandising and another company was coming in to do it. ohmy.gif
Therefore I now have no job after 24 years!! My old Boss got all of the old Crew together and on Site on her Guest List.
I think I saw more Bands this year than I've seen in the last 10 years put together!!!
Unfortunately none of us know whether we'll be there next year.

Very sad to hear that Neil. Hopefully the new company will take most/all of you on if they have some sense.

Hope you had a great Womad by the way!

They did offer us work but not doing what we had been and not for the same recompense either. We all decided to have a year off and enjoy it and then have a think about what to do next year!!
It was a really good weekend Tony! Favourite band of the weekend was a Spanish Ska Band called Muyayo Rif!
