Hey,

haven't uploaded any songs for a long time but today I actually recorded a song with an amp for the very first time.
I bought the Laney TT50H with a Laney cab (v30's) and now I'm trying to learn how to record into the Shure SM57.

This is my first try with micing the cab... and my vocals are pretty rough as well.
Did everything in a couple of hours. Okey, enough excuses. Here it is:

http://soundcloud.com/relativefunk/track-1-never-told-a-lie

I fall down
like a blind man
once I died
but now I live again

a crow in the sky
and I feel the same
once denied
but now I live again

I never told a lie
but you never told the truth
I never told a lie
but you never told the truth

when life has drowned
will it ever be
that I walk the sky
in eternity

now the angels say
that I'm not pure
and how can that be
that I live again

I never told a lie
but you never told the truth
I never told a lie
but you never told the truth

Keep rockin guys!

OH, I would love some feedback on EQ, mix, mastering.. anything. I'm here to learn!

Thanks for the feedback guys!

I really rushed the vocals and will do a better version tonight... I got really stupid speakers when
I mix and often end up running around playing my demo recordings on my mp3's and car stereo smile.gif
It's perfect too upload here and get feedback from metalheads and non metalheads on mix, mastering as well.

It's brand new to me recording thru a Shure SM57 for the first time here so if it sounds good to you I am REALLY happy.

Truly thankful for this place and you replying and it keeps me motivated to practice that guitar smile.gif
Stay metal! smile.gif

I have a Laney as well, and while it is not the most versatile amp, they sound incredible
nice track

They sure do! It was also cheap ... I would probably be a MESA Boogie dude if I could afford it smile.gif but Laney is cool since Iommi use them a lot.

Hey Cosmin! I listen to Throwdown, Slipknot, Godsmack and all kind of heavy metal really. Black Sabbath obviously. List is long!
But I recommend albums with Throwdown called "Deathless" and "Venom and Tears" for this kind of low-tuned riff orgies.

Rock on!
