noticed there wasn't a thread like this around, so i'm making one.
i do hope you guys know atleast a few of these... http://www.ultimate-guitar.com <--- guitarist's 2nd best friends, aside from GMC biggest guitar website on the internet, as well as the biggest guitar tab site on the net. http://www.fretnotguitarrepair.com <--- excellent resource on doing guitar maintenance (string changing, inotation, etc) http://www.electric-guitar.co.uk <--- nice guitar website with some decent lessons. http://www.gametabs.net <--- cool website with tabs of video game music. http://www.berkleeshares.com <--- EXCELLENT resource of free lessons to all aspects of music, including guitar, bass, vocals, theory, music business, recording, etc* http://www.guitarmasterclass.net <--- i know you all know this one, but take it from me (and many others). this is the BEST website to help you learn how to play guitar, for an extremely affordable price. i've taken so much from this place. kudos to all instructors and people who make it possible! http://www.freelicks.net <--- Kris's guitar website he had before GMC's conception. some cool stuff to be found in here! feel free to add your own! *berkleeshares are free lessons based off of berklee's online music education program. (http://www.berkleemusic.com) i don't know if you guys know about it, but it's highly accredited and won many awards. you don't need to be out of high school to get into it. employers recongnize certificates from them as well. if you're looking to get into the music business / get a educational boost to your guitar playing / songwriting, check it out! This post has been edited by Asphyxia Feeling: Feb 7 2008, 02:50 AM -------------------- What did you learn tonight? while shouting so loud, you barely joyous, broken thing. You are a voice that never sings, is what i say. You are freezing over hell You are bringing on that end you do so well and you can only blame yourself, is what is say. |

This guy has some great guitar lessons:
http://www.justinguitar.com/ He's made a lot of free instructional videos on YouTube: Justin's YouTube Video Lessons -------------------- QUOTE ("Steve Vai") Start by playing something - a bend, a riff, a scale, a song - very slowly; if you make a mistake, start over; do this over and over, until you can play it flawlessly - and I do mean flawlessly - many times in a row. Next, gradually increase the tempo. Eventually you'll be flailing like a madman. |
