It doesn't necessarily have to be the cleanest, fastest or most technically proficient.. it's just what you think is the best and like to hear, ok ? I'll start off. Alternate Picking - John McLaughlin Here's why: So relaxed, comes from out of nowhere, ultra fast bursts, the ultimate picking technique to aspire to in my opinion. Sweep Picking - Michael Angelo Batio He makes it look so easy and it's so perfect ! Legato - Joe Satriani I'll leave it there.
