Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey there Scott!

I have seen this one evolve in our thread and I must say that your articulation skills have improved BIG, BIG TIME since a few years ago when I first started observing your progress. You have a very nice touch, dynamics and a relaxed approach on playing this lesson. As I told you in the thread, there's that ONE little bend that is still out of pitch (0:16) and for that one, it'll be a 9 biggrin.gif But phrases like the one around 0:42 - that's very refined and souldful, mate wink.gif Good work and let's not stop here!

Cosmin

That was effing beautiful, man.

I love how your tone, different to Stephane's, still has a classic tone that could have come from any record of the 70's. That slightly distorted, nasally, spaced out tone. It doesn't sound like software emulation, it sounds genuine.

Your bends are fantastic, just the right amount of vibrato.

The only thing I think could have been better, and it's the only thing, is the quick bend thingy at 0:45.

Apart from that, it's a master work. Have a drink on me ! (But wait until an appropriate time of evening. I know what you Scots are like...)

Hi Bleez, congrats on this beautiful take!

I really enjoy your playing and tone on this lesson and I can notice that your playing is getting more and more intense and expressive. Your tone is different but it fits perfect, and your vibrato technique is just perfect for each phrase and the groove of the track. The only details that I note are the bends marked by Cosmin and Ben that are not totally precise, then the overall is amazing.

I'm glad to see you evolving and progressing as a guitar player. Keep on the great job!
