Nope didn't think so either. We all know parents don't get this.
I can show you how to be the virtuoso your folks could only dream about, but I first need your help:
* Pm me and I will show you where to start. I am online every day and I will help you out directly!
* Join my mentoring program. I will customize your learning experience in a way you haven't experienced before. We will have regular contact so that you can remain inspired every day and eventually reach a new level.
* Join my next video chat! GMC startpage holds a video chat schedule. We always cover a lot of ground and have fun. Remember that you don't need any previous knowledge, and you can be passive in the chat.
* Jam with me - you will find active collabs here.
* Post a topic on this board, guitar related or not - doesn't matter! You will find that chatting with instructors boosts your motivation to practice.
* You haven't missed my latest video lessons, have you?
* Oh and did you know that to become a killer guitarist you just need to focus on one thing? Everything
else is secondary. Pm me and I will explain.

Thank you Cosmin!
Well, my name is Ryley, Im 19 years old and am a resident of Canada, ehhh. I also love hockey and poutine. I have been playing guitar for 8 years and jamming reguarly (at least once per week) for 6 years. I play primarily lead guitar and am fascinated by solo and melody construction. I enjoy all kinds of music, but have a love for hard rock, heavy metal and progressive music. Some of my favourite bands include Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, King Crimson, Trivium, etc. I have been playing in a regular performing band for the past several years, and our music can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCkF9gun4OM , though I believe you have already given your feedback on it! Although I need improvement in all areas of guitar (who doesn't?!) I feel as though my weakest point is song/melody/chord/solo construction. I know many of the basics, but would love to learn more involving the modes, the construction of the chords associated with them, changing scales in a solo, and note choice in a melody. If you would like, I can post a solo to show you my current playing level, if needed. Looking forward to hearing back from you! Thank you! -------------------- But still I want answers, what's the point, what does all this mean? |

Well, I would begin by asking you to tell me about your experience with theory and ear training - in lesser words, what have you done in this direction so far?
