hi there,

On the 9th of April it was my birthday.

From my work I got a dunlop cleaning set for my guitar.

In the package there is a bottle Dunlop Lemon Oil.
On this bottle it say's not to use this lemon oil on Maple fretboards. I have a Ibanez rg350DXZ and it has a Maple fretboard. (I think)

I googled arround and some people say this only applies to some maple fretboards.

So my question is, can I use Dunslop Lemon Oil on my Pride and joy Ibanez or not unsure.gif

Kind regards
Arthur

Hi Mate, Yea you can use it on your specific RG, the maple you have on the neck is covered by a thin layer of paint/varnish, so all good. You can use it on the fretboard also. If you wanna be certain in the future buy citrus/orange oil, but The main reason you don't use it on maple is some guitar's usually high end models, have unfinished maple necks and fretboard, then you need specific oi (if any)l for them. Yours will be fine mate.. Go nuts

Cheers
