Using an external overdrive pedal sounds like a great idea - I think the overdrives/distortions are the weakest part of the pedal. I currently use a tube screamer first in the chain (before the M13) - what are the advantages of having it in the loop? I know a lot of people do that. Sounds like a great idea, bye bye old pedalboards , i knew it, the overdrives are NEVER good on multifx, i will try to put some kind of tube overdrive, or i got a marshall jackhammer somewhere in the studio. The advantages of having it on the loop?... well i think, first you don't have to worry to clip the input of the multifx, you can put the overdrive whenver you want, after the compressor and wah, that's very important, you can even experiment and put it and the end of the sidechain maybe, maybe you can even put two instances of the same pedal on the chain thanks for the tips, would be a amazing to have a video review of your amp and the fx working on a controlled well mic'd environment! -------------------- Check my Instructor Profile Rockers!
