There are some songs that every guitar player should know... Sweet Home Alabama is one of them and today we'll learn how to play that classic Lynyrd Skynyrd song!

You might have noticed that the whole song is pretty much made out of the following three chords: D C A. That's the genius of it! However, as we will study, there are a few variations to the way we'll be playing these chords.

Let's take a look at the song structure we'll go by:

Intro
Verse
Bridge
Chorus
1st Lead
Verse
Chorus
2nd lead

Covering these parts individually will give you all the necessary elements to playing the song in its entirety.

Strive for a clean technique and feel free to pick here and there the elements that are appealing to you. Learn from it and incorporate the desired elements to your own music.
The leads are very melodic and use a combination of a D Major pentatonic and D minor pentatonic.

Have fun!
