  • Although the word "percussive" implies emphasis on rhythm - most modern percussive guitarists seem to have a highly developed sense for melody.

After all, who wants to listen to percussion-only all day long? Melody is what triggers the musical nodes in our brain!

So in our quest for percussive freedom, we will explore melody making today. We will exemplify how to stack rhythm, bass & harmony with a melodic movement on top.

We will stick to key of E Major. A usual I am not really thinking in terms of chords, instead I think of shapes that move around diatonically (in other words I adapt the shapes to make them fit into the key of E Major).
