  • Hi GMC!

Chord strumming is one of my favorite guitar techniques, and Al di Meola is the guitar player who developed it to the high end. I am presenting you some unusual strumming patterns some of which were played by di Meola him self. Left hand chords are pretty easy; all focus will be on right hand. There are two solutions here, to pick from the air, anchoring your pinky just a little bit and anchoring your wrist like Al. Both ways are ok, though I recommend di Meola way because your 100% sure all notes will ring. Although this looks easy and smooth, it is pretty difficult to master, so be patient, and don’t forget that your overall picking will be improved. Chords sequence is Am7, Cmaj7, Amin9/F, Amin9/F#, C#min7-5

    Have fun playing!

    Regards!

    Vasilije
