  • Hi Guys. This is one of my favorite lessons, and I hope you like it. We are entering into one of the hardest techniques when it comes to singing.

Scat singing is hard enough, but scat improvisation is even harder. Why? First there is technical part. You have to be able to use all the singing techniques and have a feeling not to over do it. Breath control, vibrato and all the things you practice every day as a singer, this is the best test.

Most important part is imagination. Remember, you compose melodic line in real time. And all that has to have some musical and dynamical sense.

Hard as it is, I use the simplest progression there is. One chord. That means that you have to make song parts out of nothing.

Words. Good thing is that you don't have any words. You can make up sounds as you want and as you feel. In this lesson I use a lot of fast notes. That means that you have to be able to say words fast without any music, and without any melody.

    Key: G minor

    Tempo: 79 bpm 4/4
