  • Hi folks! Today I have prepared a lesson for you in the style of the popular death metal band, Arch Enemy. To me, their music is about fast and brutal riffs, but also about beautiful choruses and melodies. They incorporate them both in their music. They usually tune down to C, but I've made this lesson in standard E. Check out their albums "Doomsday Machine" and "Burning Bridges".

    ---------------------------------------

This lesson will help you with:

    -Speed of your rhythm-playing
    -Melodic sense
-Creation of simple, yet effective lead-passages

    ----------------------------------------

    Tempo: 170 bpm
    Key: Em
    Tuning: E standard

    -----------------------------------------

I've added a slower drum backing for practicing the riffs and the lead part. If you want the PodXT patch I used for this lesson, PM me or go download it from my personal board. Hope you find this lesson useful and fun!

    Cheers,

    Toni Suominen
