Holy Diver Album

Holy Diver is the name of Ronnie James Dio's first of many albums under the band name "Dio".

Released in 1983, Holy Diver reached #61 on the Billboard 200 and went platinum in 1989

Dio, a legendary metal singer by most opinions, previously fronted Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow as well as several other bands. He did replace Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath as well.

Currently Dio is back with his Sabbath band mates in "Heaven & Hell", as well as continuing his solo career that has spanned the last 25 years.

Vivian Campbell (who later joined Def Leppard) played guitar on this album.

Holy Diver is considered by many to be a staple in any metal album collection.
