I think this is a great idea! Generally there are at least 5-6 slower backings per lesson, you wouldn't necessarily have to make them all downloadable, but could have it set up to be able to download 1 slow,1 medium, and 1 normal speed backing tracks.

While you're at it, here's another suggestion.
I noticed that in lessons that have rhythm guitar in them, the same is not present in the downloadable backing track. I know that it's like that because slowing down the recorded guitar parts would distort their sound, as they're not MIDI. But how about keeping the rhythm guitar in the full-speed lesson? It sounds so much better. This is an example.
