Hi,

When doing a "pull-off", as far as i know the common technique is to flick the string downward. However, it seems easier to me to flick it upward instead. Is it ok or is it a bad habit ? I'm not big on legato playing and I'm willing to improve that area of playing, so maybe i have to start on good basis.

Thanks,
Phil

Generally going downwards (and "plucking" the string while you are at it) is the way most people do it. Its pretty natural to do it that way too so it will enable you to play "fast" and economic. But as Muris said, check you finger placement too.
